Animatic test using after effects and photo shop

This was my first real attempt at anything in after effects.

I have met with sam and been given jobs to do whilst the guys animate the film. As animating is my weakest area sam is giving me the majority of texturing and to do the title and credits. I am also playing with after effects and loving the stuff i can do do with it. Im really enjoying the special effects side. I plan to have atleast an animatic done of an idea for the intro of our film by next week.

I am getting really annoyed with sam now. Im not sure what im supposed to be doing. I have modelled the granny and scooter aswell as other vehicles in the scene but he is not answering or replyin to any of my calls or messages. I have even tried email but nothing. I just need work to do. I have found myself coming in and sitting around on my own doing work but noone shows!!!

I have also found that i havent been given anything else to model and i am a modeller. Now i wish i had done jobs for other groups as i feel my weakest folder is my modelling one. Im still not gonna say anything bad about sam however though as im sure he has reasons but really want some work. Am working at such a slow pace just to make sure im not sitting around doing nothing. Im bored!!!

I am completely boned!!! I have found that i am just under 4000 words for my dissertation and i cant find anything else to write about. I have gone through my whole family and friends for ideas on the topic aswell as hunting down all the information i can to help. I just cant seem to get past it. I have decided to change my subject to something far wider then my choice and it may be a bit late but i have so many books and films on the subject i just wish i had chosen it from the start. I am really panicing now and have almost stopped on the film completely now just cause i have to get this done. I may possibly be completely grey haired when i turn up in uni next. I was warned by jared at the start and in prague that this may have been a to small a subject but foolish luke does it anyway. I should be ok but it will take some long nights.

Am so not enjoying this dissertation anymore and am paniking like crazy over it. Im starting to think that writing about Lucas Films isnt going to be as bigger topic as i would of hoped. I have got to around 2000 words and am already having to hunt for material which isnt a good sign.


I have been especially bad recently with my group input as i have been a bit distant but its been because of the dissertation. No one however has tried to contact me either though so maybe they are in the same boat as me. It feels like the entire film has had to come to a hault all because of one dissertation. Its crazy!!!
